Earrings!

I have always said when the girls are old enough to ask to get their ears pierced, they can have it. Most girls eventually get it done, so I don't see any harm in doing it when they are younger if they want it. Hannah has been saying on and off for about a year now that she wants to get it done. I haven't taken her too seriously up to this point because she usually quickly asks if it hurts and then decides against it. Tonight, though, she had a look of determination on her face. She told me she didn't care if it hurt, she wanted her ears pierced. I asked her what made her change her mind (thinking maybe a friend at school just got it done or something) and she said she just knew she wanted it done. I called Rob and talked about it for a minute and we both decided that it was fine. After dinner, we headed out. Here she is, waiting for her turn:

Almost ready:

Her ears are marked even:

Here we go:

Although she compared it to having her ears stapled to her head, she didn't cry and by the time we were walking out the door, she said it didn't even really hurt much anymore:

She can't wait to show her friends at school tomorrow:
