Reading

Hannah and I have been working on words. She knows how to write all the letters and has recently begun to memorize some small words. Right now she can spell Hannah, hot, and zoo from memory. She also loves asking me to spell words for her so she can write them. Today we were working on phonics, trying to help her read (which she is on the edge of since she knows all the sounds the letters make). Anyway, I spelled HAT for Hannah and she wrote out each letter as I said them. Then I asked what each letter makes and she told me. Then I asked if she knew what that word said. She proudly announced "it says turtle!" She is doing great, but I guess we still have a little work to do. ;)
