34 Weeks

I realized I haven't been saying a lot about this pregnancy.  Our lives are so busy with the girls - taking them to dance and gymnastics, school and preschool, etc. - that sometimes I forgot to sit down and record my thoughts on this pregnancy.  I am 34 weeks now.  This is the longest I've made it without preterm labor and although I've had a few mild things come up recently (contractions picking up and protein in my urine), this has been a less eventful pregnancy than previously.  This boy is also a lot more active than the girls were (less hiccups though).  Or he's a lot bigger and I feel it easier.  Or maybe he's just in a better position to feel it.  So far, I'm up 24lbs, blood pressure is usually around 90/60, and I am still feeling pretty good most days.  Tired, but good.  This week is the first week that I've had to take 2 afternoons/evenings because I haven't been feeling great, but overall, I've been able to keep up with all our regular stuff.

We've had some friends celebrating baby with us.  Here I am at playgroup with the girls, having a small shower.  Since Anne is pregnant with her first and having several showers, Hannah has been asking when our baby is going to have a shower.  I tried to explain to her that people really only have showers for their first babies but she has been pretty insistent.  Luckily playgrounp does a small shower for the pregnant ladies and was able to do the baby "sprinkle" while Hannah was on spring break so she was able to attend.  Here we are at 30 weeks at the playgroup baby shower:

They made us a cute diaper cake and a few handmade items.  This was my favorite from my friend Sara and baby will be wearing it at the hospital when the girls are wearing their "Big Sis" shirts I found them.  I also hope to take a few pictures with the kids in these this summer, which is why I opted for a slightly larger size (3-6 months):

The next night, my friends surprised me (and they really did - I had no idea!) with a baby shower at the Melting Pot.  Amy had tricked me into going in there after we went to the mall and Carrie, Chris, Derek, Kathleen, and Tina were all sitting there with gifts and chocolate.  Perfect and so very sweet of them:

Here is my latest baby bump picture, at 32 weeks:

Only about 5 more weeks now.  In 4 weeks, we will be doing a size ultrasound and most likely baby will be induced or we'll do a c-section to avoid Hailey's traumatic birth.  They will probably take him in the 39th week regardless of what we choose.  I'm hoping for an induction because that's what I know, but if the doctor decides a c-section is safer for baby (Logan is most likely the name - no middle name yet), that's what we'll do.  Getting close now!
