Hannah's First Trim

This morning I finally caved and took Hannah to get her first trim. I considered doing it myself but then thought better of it and opted for a kid's place. (I wasn't sure how she would take it since trimming her nails usually leads to a full-on melt down while she cries "it hurts it hurts" over and over again.) Luckily, the kid's place was the right choice and she loved playing on the slide, getting to choose her own car to sit in, and picking her own video - Elmo, of course. She did start to squirm and protest a few times but the lady didn't seem even a little phased by it and continued to cut and talk as if Hannah were sitting there perfectly still. She told me there was no need to decide about bangs today since Hannah has none but that I should be thinking about it for the future. Since Hannah usually takes and tosses anything I put in her hair after about 3 seconds, I'll say she'll probably have to have the bangs some day. Anyways, we bought the "baby's 1st haircut" package so they took a picture, gave us a certificate, and saved some hair for us. I forgot my camera (booo!) so I didn't get any action shots but I do have some before and after shots. Not a huge difference - which is why I'm calling this is a trim and not her actual first haircut - but Rob and I both agree that it looks better without all the straggly ends.

Here are some pictures that I snapped of her 2 weeks ago at the pool:

And here she is after her trim (I couldn't get her to put down the milk :)) :

I think Brett will be about Hannah's age when he gets his first haircut. He's loosing all his hair on top right now :(.
