Hannah's Room - A Progression

2006: Hannah started out in a bassinet next to our bed.

2006-2007: At 3 months, Hannah outgrew the bassinet and moved to her nursery (the room next to us). Her theme was butterflies and her room was very girly and cute with a neutral wall color. She had a beautiful white crib and white furniture to match:

2007/2008: When Hannah was around 21 months old, she learned how to climb out of her crib. We were afraid she was going to seriously injure herself, so we decided to try a toddler bed. This was her first night in her new bed in the nursery.


2008/2009: When we learned we would be adding a new little addition to our family, we decided to move Hannah out of the nursery. We let her pick her own bedding and wall color to make it more fun for her. Needless to say, she picked pink for the walls and princesses for the bedspread. Daddy, Grandpa, Grampy, and Uncle Joey did the majority of the painting.

2009/2010: Not too long after turning 3, we noticed that her toddler bed was starting to look a little cramped. We decided to buy the mattress for a twin bed and put it on the ground so she wouldn't have problems rolling out. Getting her room together was really a joint effort - Grammy sewed the curtains, Grandma painted the dresser, Aunt Sarah supplied the princess stickers, and Mommy decorated the pictures/toychest.

2010: For her 4th birthday this week, we decided it was time to finish up the big girl bed by adding the boxsprings and putting it on a frame. Here is Hannah's newly completed big girl room.
