Second Born

I posted my First Born survey back at the end of Feb. Here is my second born survey:

1. WAS YOUR SECOND PREGNANCY PLANNED?
Yes, we had been trying for a year (including an early miscarriage) at that point

2. WERE YOU MARRIED AT THE TIME?
Yes, for 5 years

3. WHAT WERE YOUR REACTIONS?
Excited and relieved but nervous

4. HOW OLD WERE YOU?

5. HOW DID YOU FIND OUT YOU WERE PREGNANT?
I figured it out based on my fertility chart but a home test confirmed it

6. WHO DID YOU TELL FIRST?
Rob on the phone because I figured we have good luck when I tell him over the phone.

7. DID YOU WANT TO FIND OUT THE SEX?
Yes but Rob remembered our deal to not find out early since we found out early with Hannah. So we did not find out early.

8. DUE DATE?
April 3, 2009 by LMP or April 5, 2009 by ultrasound/conception date

9. DID YOU HAVE MORNING SICKNESS?
Even worse than the first time, but that may have been from the progesterone. I started feeling queasy around 4-5 weeks, threw up from weeks 6-14.

10. WHAT DID YOU CRAVE?
Carbs, cheeseburgers, and chocolate.

11. WHO/WHAT IRRITATED YOU THE MOST?
Not feeling like we could share the news right away.

12. WHAT WAS YOUR SECOND CHILD'S SEX?
Girl


13. DID YOU WISH YOU HAD THE OPPOSITE SEX OF WHAT YOU WERE GETTING?
We were both fine with either sex, but Rob thought it was a boy and I thought it was a girl.

14. HOW MANY POUNDS DID YOU GAIN THROUGHOUT THE PREGNANCY?

Nope

16. WAS IT A SURPRISE OR DID YOU KNOW?

17. DID YOU HAVE ANY COMPLICATIONS DURING YOUR PREGNANCY?
Implantation bleeding, low progesterone, preterm labor starting at 28 weeks, shoulder dystocia during delivery.

18. WHERE DID YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Community North

19. HOW MANY HOURS WERE YOU IN LABOR?
6.5 hours total (the last half hour was pushing)


20. WHO DROVE YOU TO THE HOSPITAL?
Rob - it was an induction again so no rushing to the hospital


21. WHO WATCHED YOU GIVE BIRTH?
Rob, Jen, the doctor, and 2 nurses


22. WAS IT NATURAL OR C-SECTION?
Natural


23. DID YOU TAKE MEDICINE TO EASE THE PAIN?
Yep, around 7cm the contractions were becoming pretty unbearable so I took the epidural. I was pushing a half hour later.

8lbs 15oz

Exactly 6 weeks
