I Slept Like A Toddler
Whenever someone had a great night's sleep, they often use the phrase: "I slept like a baby". Anyone who has a baby knows that is the most ridiculous phrase in the English language. However, after last night's 2 storms, I'm thinking I'll start using the phrase "I slept like a toddler." Last night, I woke up at 5:30am to the loudest storm I've ever heard. Seriously, it sounded like someone had cymbals right next to my head that they were crashing over and over again just to see if they could make me jump high enough to fall out of bed. And where was Hannah? Was she scared crying for "mommy" or asking to sleep with us? No! She was passed out, sound asleep, as if the whole house wasn't shaking every time the thunder boomed. This very same storm decided to repeat itself 2 hours later at 7:30am where, once again, my toddler slept as if it was just another quiet Tuesday morning. Amazing! Hopefully tonight I will find myself sleeping like a toddler - I could use a good night's sleep after last night!

Soooo true!
THANK YOU!!!! I came to this conclusion right after Brett was born. I asked Steve what crazy person came up with that phrase! :)
I figure Sleep Like a Baby must mean conk out in 5 seconds no matter where you are, (often after screaming for 5 hours) for exactly 5 minutes, because it certainly doesn't mean sleeping well for a long period of time.
