It is hard to believe that today is Hailey's final day of speech therapy with Early Intervention (a program that only goes to age 3). Maybe it is just because we were so late entering the program, but it seems like such a short time has passed since we began this journey. Luckily, in this short period, our very smart little girl has absolutely blossomed. The same child that was having trouble saying words and putting together short phrases is now speaking in sentences. Her progress has been nothing short of amazing. She still has a little work to do (which is why she qualified for the school speech therapy) but I wouldn't have believed you if you had told me that she would make this type of progress this quickly when we started. I couldn't be happier with our experience and am sad to see our speech therapist go. For her final day, we made her cookies and cards and she was very touched by the guesture. I hope she realizes what has been a huge blessing she has been to us. We are so thankful for all the ways she helped Hailey!
