A New Favorite Pastime
Hannah has recently found a love for puzzles. She has never been big into puzzles - she would put the wooden ones together here and there (usually under my suggestion) but she just was never all that interested in them. That was fine with me, certainly not all adults have the same interests and so I can't expect kids to have the same interests, but I did think it would be nice if she enjoyed puzzles since it's a quiet toy that isn't very messy. Well suddenly Hannah as decided that puzzles are fun. She really enjoys putting them together and can do smaller puzzles (less than 50 pieces or so) by herself. This is a larger puzzle (100 pieces) that we put together. I am still trying to get her to understand why doing the outside pieces first are easier but I'm sure that will come with time. For now, we had fun putting this puzzle together and she loved that it had princesses on it. And Hailey only tried to eat the pieces like 5 or 6 times. Here is Hannah standing proudly behind the completed work:

That's so funny, Drew has developed a love for puzzles as well and Nick keeps trying to teach him to start with the corners/edges but it's still just too abstract for him.
That is great! Now Hannah and Cash can do puzzles together :-)
FUN! I love puzzles. I can't wait until Andrew is old enough to do them :)
Bryn loves them too--always has. Just be careful you don't lose any pieces, or you'll have a very frustrated kiddo on your hands! ;)
