First Day of 2nd Grade

Excited for the first day of school!

Showing off the outfit that she picked out and put together on her own:

Ready to go:

Giving baby brother a snuggle while waiting for the bus (little sister was still in bed):

On the way:

She had an excellent first day of school!  She was very excited that she is now a big 2nd grader in the SEEK room and she was equally excited that she won the contest from Back-to-School night (she guessed there were 305 marshmallows in the jar and there were 303).  Great start to the year!

End of Summer

I am finally healed from my c-section and the summer is already coming to a close.  In attempt to get in some fun things before Hannah heads back to school, we headed north to Camp Techumseh last week for a week of fun with the MeyPfans.  Hannah went to daycamp with her very best friend Bryn while Hailey stayed behind and played with her very best friend Shay.

The big girls, on their way to daycamp:

The little girls and Liam, playing with face paint:

One of the days, the Graunkes joined us for some fun:

Hannah received the Trail Ride Rockstar award at Dessert Night:

Desserts for everyone:

Our little tree huggers (and yes, they were actually hugging the trees and kissing them - goofy kids):

After our fun week at camp, we drove even further north to meet up with Daddy at the Kenyon family reunion:

Yes, his sisters did this to him:

Hanging out at the beach on this very cool July day:

Stopped at the giant chicken on the way home:

Daddy is a goof:

After we returned home on Sunday, we went to a work function for Daddy (who was leaving the next day for a work retreat). We got up bright and early on Monday to go to the zoo with the MeyPfans, the Juliuses, the Willmans, and the Stanleys (interesting side note: all these families have parents who met at Butler).

Group hug:

The MeyPfan, Julius, and Elstro kids (the girls were thrilled to be hugging each other - the boys were less than amused at our group shot):

Now for a day of rest before school starts tomorrow!
