Always a good question on here. It seems that I always end up so busy during the summer that I never find time to write. Well, here we are practically in August, and even I am scratching my head and wondering what happened to June and July. I remember a lot of playing - with friends, with family, with playgroup - but thanks to losing the camera for a few weeks followed by actually losing the charger for the camera's battery, this summer's pictures are painfully lacking. We did visited with my grandparents, my parents, and my in-laws quite a bit. Hannah had her theater camp followed by her nature camp, both of which she loved. Hailey got some one-on-one time with Mommy and a few playdates with less competition for the toys than normal. We played with Cash and Holden, Brett and Kaia, Bryn Shay and Liam, Katherine and Lena, and Abby and Molly, often visiting the pool. We hosted Bennett's 2nd birthday and got to meet Colton. We went to Hailey's playgroup (where once we tried our hand at sewing a dress to send to children who don't have dresses) and our church small group. I got to go to a few fun girl nights with friends, a few lunches with previous coworkers, a cookout to see our old friends from Journey, and an entire weekend with Jen at her place. We went to the county fair (Hannah won 1st Place for a door hanger she made) and visited extended family twice. Amy and I hung out and watched Glee while the boys went to gaming stuff and we had a few slumber parties back and forth at their new house at camp. Busy, busy, busy! Pictures to come, if I can find any from this time period! ;)

Finally, The Canines!!!
Both kids have been late teethers but Hailey seems to be taking it to an entirely new level. Really, it is fine for the most part - both kids seem to do well with getting new teeth - but it was starting to concern me that Hailey hadn't gotten her top canines yet. Her bottom ones came in around 25 months, so I thought the top ones would be in right behind them. Nope. I mentioned it to Marie and she said that she and Rob were both late getting their permanent top canines (Rob's had to be pulled in with braces) and that one of Rob's cousins didn't even have top canines. Now I was starting to get a little concerned. Hannah and I had a dentist appointment in mid August so I figured I would ask at that appointment. Luckily, to ease her Mommy's mind, she did finally start getting them this week. This is a full 6-12 months behind schedule but hey, better late than never. Now we are just waiting on the 2 year molars, which I expect will probably be in closer to 3. I do hope the kids get my teeth, since mine required no braces. They will definitely need glasses at some point (everyone on both sides of our family wears them) so I hope to at least save them from the braces experience.
By the way, Hannah has not lost any teeth yet. Her top tooth was a little loose for a while there but she must have just bumped it or something because it's not loose anymore.
