A New Post... Finally!

With all the holidays, all the sickness, and everything else that has been going recently, it's been a few months since my last post. Since the majority of my readers are family members and a few friends who I see on a pretty regular basis, I don't think anyone has missed much but I will do a short recap of the past few months anyways.

Thanksgiving - Spent it with Sarah & Paul. Mom & Dad came too. We didn't quite make it all the way there on Wednesday night like we had hoped, so we spent one night in a hotel and made it there Thursday just in time for turkey. Yum! We didn't do a whole lot, mostly just shopped, played games, and sat around watching movies and talking. My idea of a perfect holiday (minus the long drive).

Christmas - See if you can keep up - we celebrated with Mom, Dad, Sarah, Paul, & Matthew on the 23rd. Hannah made out like a bandit. We went to Dad's family reunion on Christmas eve and then headed to Paul & Marie's after we were done, where we went to the candlelight church service (Hannah kept talking - loudly) and then headed back to exchange gifts with Paul, Marie, Joe, & Anne. Hannah made out like a bandit again. We got up Christmas morning and celebrated with Rob's Dad's family. Then an hour drive back to my grandparent's house followed by my other grandparent's house. Hannah again made out like a bandit (are you seeing a theme here? ;)) Finally we made it home for our Christmas exchange. It was a fun but exhausting week followed by a trip to Marie's family Christmas that next weekend.

New Year's - We met up with Dustyn & Emily. We ate lunch, exchanged passangers, and Emily & I talked about kids the entire way home while I'm sure Dustyn & Rob discussed some sort of gaming thing. Either way, everyone was happy. We had some good meals, had some fun games, and had a blast on New Year's with Dustyn & Emily's friends who just happened to transfer here a few months ago. Mike & Amber joined us shortly after midnight, but Emily and I were just too tired to stay up. I hear they played games late into the night.

Valentine's Day - That's today! :) Not much to report. In keeping with tradition, Rob & I exchanged gifts last night. I got a card, flowers, chocolates, and a pampering set. Rob got a card and Guitar Hero for his Xbox (cause he's my (guitar) hero). ;) Hannah was asleep but she got an Elmo video. It's a good thing we exchanged last night because Rob seems to have now come down with the stomach flu that Hannah and I suffered through last week. This was of course only days after we finally got over the horrible respiratory thing we both picked up (and my ribs still hurt 3 weeks after a coughing fit - the doctor thinks I pulled a muscle and inflammed some cartiledge).

Wow, that was long but that is the last 3 months in a nutshell. Pictures to come!
