6 Years In Review

Hailey had her 6 year appointment today.  Can't believe how big she is getting!

Height/Weight: 44.5 inches and 40.5lbs

Physical Features: Her hair is dark brown and it is almost to her shoulders at the moment, although I imagine we'll be cutting it soon back to chin length.  Her eyes are brown.  She has a few freckles on her nose and cheeks.  She has pierced ears.

Milestones: She can write all letters, recognize a lot of sight words, read at a beginning of 1st grade level, sound out words, draw exceptionally well, tell stories and jokes, count to 100, write 1-20, ride in a booster, and make her own snacks.  She loves to color pictures for people, especially me and her teacher.  She loves to be silly and make others laugh.

Favorites: Her favorite movie is Frozen.  Her favorite color is purple.  Her favorite friend is Shay.  Her favorite song is Uptown Funk (oops, haha).  Her favorite food is salmon.  Her favorite book is anything she can read (mostly level 1 books).

Snow Day!

We've had a cold winter, but not a very snowy one.  When we woke up this morning, we had 6 inches on the ground and it was still snowing!  Hello, March 1!

The kids were so excited to go outside and play:

It was pretty chilly though, so I felt Logan should come inside.  He really didn't want to.  He grabbed the door frame in the garage and tried to stop me from bringing him in.  Luckily, hot chocolate helped:

When all was said and done, we ended up with 9 inches.

End Hunger Now

Marie's church participated in an event called End Hunger Now where people can go help pack rice dinners for people in other countries in need.  Here we are, looking stylish with our hair nets!

I weighed the packs and Hannah and Marie sealed them.  We worked for almost 2 hours and felt like we really made a difference!

My New Job

Chris was great enough to get me a job at his company.  I will be working with him the in R&D department as a technical researcher.  Right now, it is part time (perfect!) and temporary, but we are hoping to make it permanent.  Mom/dad and Marie/Paul will be taking turns watching Logan and the girls, once they are home from school.  So excited about this new opportunity!  I start tomorrow!
